#SCCON | Smart Country Convention 2025 in Berlin
On September 30, 2025, together with DKSR GmbH, we are hosting a workshop on “System-of-Systems: When Data Platform and Digital Twin Converge” at SCCON 2025 – the leading event for digital transformation and sustainable urban development.
The Smart Country Convention 2025 is Germany’s leading trade fair for the digitalization of the public sector and will take place at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds.
We are excited to once again be part of this important event, which brings together a congress, expo, workshops, and networking opportunities.
This year’s focus topics include:
-
Digital Administration: Designing efficient digital public services, fostering GovTech innovation, and optimizing procurement and project management to deliver real value to citizens.
-
AI & Cloud Technologies: Leveraging artificial intelligence and cloud solutions to improve public services and promote a forward-looking data economy.
-
Cybersecurity: Protecting state infrastructures and developing strategies to counter cyber threats in the digital age.
-
Smart Cities & Regions: Integrating modern technologies to create intelligent, connected, and sustainable urban and rural environments.
-
Mobility: Developing safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly mobility solutions, including autonomous vehicles and connected transport systems.
-
Energy & Sustainability: Driving sustainable energy solutions and energy-efficient urban design through digital technologies.
-
Digital Inclusion & Accessibility: Ensuring equal access to digital technologies for all citizens, regardless of individual limitations.
-
International: Exchanging international best practices and promoting cross-border collaboration in the field of digitalization.
We look forward to engaging discussions on site – and if you’d like to arrange a personal meeting, please feel free to reach out.
More about our joint workshop “System-of-Systems: When Data Platform and Digital Twin Converge” with DKSR GmbH:
In many cities and regions, data catalogs, IoT data streams, 3D visualizations, and simulation models exist side by side – often disconnected and with significant interface challenges. Users usually only know parts of the available systems, leaving much potential untapped.
In our interactive session with DKSR, we will demonstrate how an integrated solution based on open-source components and standards can bridge these gaps. Using concrete project examples – from Hof County to Siegburg to the European research project BIPED – we will showcase how data platforms and digital (geo)twins can converge to form a powerful “system-of-systems” for urban data.
After a brief technical introduction and a live demo, we will look ahead together with the audience: Which analyses and functions are particularly relevant from the users’ perspective? Join the discussion on how the next generation of urban data infrastructure should be shaped.
When: September 30, 2025
Where: Hall 26.c | Experience Lab
Time: 11:00 – 12:00
Speakers: Dr. Alanus von Radecki, CEO of DKSR & Dr. Lutz Ross, CEO of Virtual City Systems
At VCS, it is especially important to us to shape a fair and livable urban future through technological innovation.
