The future of citizen participation in the city of Kempten
demokratie.today and Virtual City Systems implement the integration of 3D city models into the Consul platform, helping the city of Kempten to introduce more effective urban development strategies
The city of Kempten is experiencing a groundbreaking change in citizen participation thanks to the dynamic partnership between demokratie.today and Virtual City Systems. By integrating 3D city models into the Consul platform, citizens now have the opportunity to express their opinions using realistic 3D maps. This not only improves communication, but also ensures greater transparency in urban development projects. As a first project, citizens are invited to contribute their opinion on the renewal of the Iller Bridge. This innovative fusion of technologies sets new standards for citizen participation and is a promising precedent for cities seeking more effective urban development strategies.
