Sulzbach-Rosenberg: Sensor Integration & Dashboard for Real-Time Data
Funding project to expand the Digital Twin in collaboration with Urban Lighting Innovations (ULI)
In cooperation with Urban Lighting Innovations (ULI), a funding project for the expansion of the Digital Twin was implemented in the old town of Sulzbach-Rosenberg. With the goal of analyzing and visualizing pedestrian flows in the city center, six sensors for pedestrian frequency measurement and one sensor for environmental data collection were installed. These sensors were successfully linked to the UI! dashboard to provide real-time data.
Starting in July, the data transmitted by the sensors will not only be displayed in the dashboard of UI! but also on the VC Map of the city of Sulzbach-Rosenberg. This interactive map not only shows the locations and data of the sensors, but also provides a city tour with the most important landmarks and related information.
Setting up VC Planner in an internal and restricted-access map enables the city of Sulzbach-Rosenberg to better plan street festivals and other events. By analyzing pedestrian flows, suitable locations and time periods for events can be determined.
This funded project represents a significant step toward modern and efficient urban planning. The data collected will enable the city government to make informed decisions and further improve the quality of life for residents. Many thanks to all involved for the successful implementation of this exciting project!
