Urban digital twins can make a decisive contribution to overcoming the challenges posed by climate change.

Based on practical examples from current customer and research projects, the areas of simulation-based climate adaptation, flood protection and the use of renewable energy sources will be discussed and the link with sensor data and AI processes will be demonstrated.

The resulting digital systems and automated processes allow specific problems to be mapped digitally and offer an enormous acceleration in dealing with the diverse boundary conditions in the planning process.
